A little goes a long way in preserving the life of your jewelry. We strongly recommend removing your jewelry before sleeping, bathing or swimming. Leather pieces should never be exposed to water. We do not recommend the use of chemicals, commercial cleaners or polishing cloths as they can alter the finish of your jewelry. See material specific recommendations below.

Silver
Sterling silver will tarnish over time. Our favorite silver polish is white toothpaste. Apply with fingers, a soft cloth or an old toothbrush and rinse thoroughly with water. Take care around any diamonds or other gemstones. Most of our jewelry has a satin finish. Over time and with wear, the metal will become increasingly shiny. This is completely normal. If you prefer a more matte finish, you can rub the metal with a grey 3M pad. We can also re-matte jewelry purchased through our website for the cost of shipping.

Gold
Gold can be cleaned with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth.

Oxidized Silver
Oxidized (blackened) silver will develop highlights and lighten over time. Do not use chemicals, commercial cleaners or commercial polishing cloths as they will remove the blackened finish. Fingerprints can be removed with warm, soapy water or a soft cloth. Jewelry purchased through our website can also be reoxidized for the cost of shipping.

Leather
Leather will soften over time and with wear. Exposure to water will hasten the aging process and cause it to crack. For this reason, leather pieces should never be exposed to water. Leather necklaces and bracelets purchased from the website can be restrung for a small fee. Please contact us for more information.

Stones
Add a drop of dish soap to warm water and gently clean around settings with a soft toothbrush.
